Grabbed a coffee and a brownie on the go this afternoon. Both were top notch. Brownie was streaks ahead of the big coffee franchises out here in HK. Really tasted home made. The perfect indulgence for stay at home weather like this. That burger the one customer was eating looked pretty good too!! Will definitely be back to try other foods in the future

I find this restaurant really nice in terms of service, food quality and atmosphere. I think that they could repaint the grey walls and make them more vibrant and attractive. The staff greeted me so nicely and spoke English and Chinese to customers. Overall, I think this is a really nice restaurant to dine in and takeaway

Awesome food and space! Jalapeño Bagel is so flavourful and buttermilk biscuit has strong buttery taste to it! Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing environment with good bakery and coffee.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a smile and given full attention and service. We chose to sit outside to soak up the sun, though it was great to have indoor seating as a backup. We’ve been eager to try this new café since the previous owners left, and we’re so excited to have another great option for breakfast, lunch & dinner on the island. They are open every day - CLOSED Tuesdays. The menu is reasonably priced, reflecting the quality of fresh ingredients, homemade bagels, and a thoughtful Western-style selection. The coffee was excellent! Since we visited during their soft opening, I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to evolve as they settle in and get to know their customers and the community. I would personally like to see them offer something ‘unique to them’ to set them apart from the usual western style establishments. I enjoyed their homemade bagels and see that they make other items from scratch on the premises which is a good start. I hope island residents give them a fair chance to showcase their food and service with an open mind and heart. After all, they are our neighbors, which makes this café even more special. Supporting local businesses is essential, and I love seeing businesses on our little island flourish. I’d happily bring friends, family, and visitors here for a catch-up—especially for the warm and welcoming service, which is rare to find. Long may it continue! Congratulations to the new owners—I look forward to coming back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Calido Cafe and absolutely loved it! Fish and chips, Kottu and homemade bagels were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Friendly service and a great vibe. Can't wait to return!

Calido Restaurant is a fantastic place with a really nice ambiance, warm, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. The host is incredibly friendly and always greets customers with a genuine smile, making you feel right at home. The menu offers a delicious western cuisine as well as authentic Sri Lankan dishes, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you're planning a family gathering or just want to unwind with friends over drinks after work (especially on a Friday!), this is the spot. The food is absolutely delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I finding this hidden gem about 15 mins walk from the 1868 location so it was perfect for a brunch for fueling up before hitting the heat. Recently opened and has Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a small cosy unfussy place, friendly staff and it’s on the island so perfect for slowing down. Food definately delivered on all sides - hearty, homemade, and healthy options exactly what I was looking for. Love the fusion between regular brunch offerings and Interesting Sri Lankan dishes too to try. Chicken skewers with the satay had their own lovely flavour .. really tasty with the gingery papaya salad on the side. Sour dough was yummy - light n chewy.. great to hear that they bake their own bread and cakes. My coconut latte was made with coconut milk ( staff kindly offered ) and their homemade coconut syrup and toasted coconut bits. Definately will be back to try the other Sri Lankan twists.
